Boys of Summer Athletic Club, Inc., a.k.a. the Boys of Summer, was established in 1989 and is one of the premier amateur baseball organizations in Ohio. A non-profit corporation, the Boys field teams from ages 11U thru 18U. We compete locally in the Diamond League, Ohio Prospects League, SSBL, Cuyahoga Valley Baseball Association, and nationally in the AABC, CABA, NATIONS, USSSA and the NABF
Our mission is to teach the integrity of the game of baseball and to help players understand the greatness of the game while learning the life lessons associated with baseball. To guide and enhance the process of advancing to the college or professional level. To provide the best learning atmosphere, the best competition, and the most fun the game of baseball has to offer.
Boys of Summer welcomes players, parents and coaches who are committed to improving their skills, playing competitively and supporting the Boys of Summer Mission as well as adhering to all rules and guidelines. It is a program for players to dramatically improve their skills through instruction and by playing against highly competitive teams throughout the country.
The objectives of the Boys of Summer Athletic Club are to teach positive values to the players, with a great deal of emphasis on discipline, hustle, attitude, and teamwork. We accomplish this while accelerating ballplayer development and increase their exposure to next level opportunities by providing first-rate coaching, best in class competition and a rich tradition of winning.
The Boys of Summer have won a multitude of league and tournament titles and are a perennial AABC State and Regional competitor. We have played in the AABC World Series in the Mickey Mantle and Pee Wee Reese Divisions, and in different divisions of the CABA World Series.
Given these accomplishments, there is no doubt the Boys of Summer have had great success on the baseball field, but it is the success off the field that creates the most pride within our organization. Since 1989, over 98% of our players, on the 17-18 year old team, have gone to college and of those, 94% have continued playing baseball on a scholarship basis.
The Coaches of the Boys of Summer strive to bring professionalism, integrity and structure to all the players within the organization. All revenues raised by the Boys of Summer, through player contributions, sponsorship, fund raising or other means are directly applied to offsetting the costs of running the organization. The board and coaches of the Boys pledge to continue to improve and streamline their operations to make participation with the organization as cost efficient as possible without compromising the integrity of the program.
